Overview

The Corporate Communications Specialist supports the development and execution of public-facing corporate communications for Medifast. This individual will assist with financial and corporate communications and philanthropy program development and execution for the company. The Corporate Communications Specialist works in partnership with cross-functional teams as well as external agencies to meet company strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal teams and external agencies to support financial and corporate communications activities including award nominations, speech development, executive visibility projects and corporate announcements.
  • Manage financial communications calendar, activations and support public-facing corporate social media handles.
  • Support the program development of the company’s philanthropic program, Healthy Habits For All. Manage nonprofit partners and execute events and activations on behalf of the program.
  • Prepare creative and written materials, including marketing and/or promotional copy and design, business communications, website content and Power Point presentations, and distributes appropriately etc.
  • Maintain corporate communications calendar.
  • Assist in analyzing the performance of campaigns through measureable insights. Active on monitoring tools and process.
  • Supports the Senior Brand Manager, Brand Communications in other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related areas
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Marketing and Communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines consistently.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams, establishes and maintains effective internal and external relationships.
  • Passion for philanthropy.
  • Excellent communication skills including written, oral, and presentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Positive attitude
  • Attention to detail and ability to proactively provide solutions.
  • Strong project and time management skills.
  • Passionate about delivering brand growth and driving company mission forward.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Demonstrates a high level of personal accountability and professionalism.
  • Travel as required.
