  • Overview

    The Manufacturing Data Specialist serves as back-up and receives stores, issues, and moves materials, supplies and finished goods, including unloading and loading delivery trucks. The Manufacturing Data Specialist coordinates and consolidates the product flow within the warehouse and manufacturing floor to ensure the product is placed in the proper location. The Manufacturing Data Specialist will execute the company’s Good Warehouse/Manufacturing Practices and follow all food safety regulations, as specified in the company’s manual.

    Responsibilities

    • Consumption / Output for all Manufacturing Production Orders.
    • Manage flow of ProPostduction Orders through Manufacturing.
    • Reconcile Output Postings with Outbound Transfer Log.
    • Generate and Post all Transfers Outbound to Distribution Centers (MDC/TDC).
    • Coordinate Production Changes with Packaging / Blending Manager / Planning Manager.
    • Handles product safely, accurately and damage free, according to established operating work instructions.
    • Responsible for processing shipping/receiving of finished goods, raw materials, and packaging components.
    • Perform all material handling tasks within the plant from receiving materials to shipping finished product and staging materials on machines in accordance with the production schedule.
    • Required to read and understand production schedules, work orders, shipping and receiving orders.
    • Post and retrieve information on the computer system (NAVISION).
    • Informs Production Department management of any potential part shortages.
    • Physically counts inventory using manual or automatic methods (scales, scanners).
    • Communicate with co-workers, team leaders, production Line Leads and supervisors to ensure adequate materials are available at the correct station to avoid production delays and prevent unnecessary downtime.
    • When workload allows, participate in general housekeeping activities, including end of shift cleanup.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    • HS Diploma or G.E.D.
    • 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
    • Computer use skills (entering receiving, shipping, etc., data via a PC keyboard).
    • This individual has basic math aptitude including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
    • His/her communications skills shall be adequate which includes verbal, written and organizational capability.
    • Forklift Certification a plus /requires company provided certification.
    • Must have the ability to make decisions, maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures and to accept constructive criticism.
