  • Overview

    The Sr. Analyst plans, develops and implements market research programs that create a competitive advantage for Medifast through meaningful and actionable insights.
    Responsibilities include:

    • Scope, design, fielding, and analysis of primary market research activities in the U.S. and key Asia markets – including outsourced and directly conducted research and third-party research aggregation.
    • Design, manage, administer, and create insights from Medifast’s customer experience tracking system.
    • Analysis of Medifast’s external environment using relevant data sources and providing regular reporting on trends, risks, and opportunities.
    • Reporting and presentation of insights to senior leadership and functional teams.


    • Develop strategies for improving our understanding of the Coach and Client experience 
    • Design, execute, and manage customer experience surveys, reports & insights; work with internal partners to make insights actionable, and manage Qualtrics vendor relationship
    • Design, execute and analyze Coach & Client demographic and attitudinal research, both quantitative and qualitative, including engagement and management of outside vendors 
    • Manage brand and product research projects, including vendor negotiations and facilitation; partner with Brand and Product Marketing to deliver critical insights
    • Analyze, evaluate, and report on Medifast’s external environment (economics, consumer trends, competitors…) through the integration of relevant data sources, knowledge of our business, and application of business knowledge and models
    • Evaluate and propose to senior leadership opportunities to optimize and innovate Medifast’s research and customer experience programs


    • Bachelor’s degree, with MBA or other business-related Master’s preferred
    • 5+ years in market research roles, with 3+ years supporting B2C businesses, and including demonstrated capabilities for research project design & management and vendor management
    • Research Knowledge: Survey design and execution, statistics, analysis & presentation of insights, vendor management
    • Proficiency in self-service research software with a preference for knowledge of Qualtrics;
      • Strong capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to different audiences;
      • Ability to simplify and communicate complex business concepts, with a strong visual and story-telling approach to presenting insights;
      • Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines;
      • Ability to work independently and as an integral member of a team;
      • Passion for accuracy and thoroughness with the ability to monitor and check own work to ensure quality.
