  • Overview

    The Vice President of Finance is responsible for all the accounting and financial operations functions of the company.  This position works closely with the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis in developing the overall corporate planning process for the company serving the CEO, CFO, President, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors.   


    • Responsible for the management, development, direction, and oversight of domestic and international accounting, treasury, compliance, financial forecasting, and accounts payable/receivable.
    • Assists in the development and monitoring of financial targets and metrics. Coordinates the benchmarking of key targets and metrics against best practices.
    • Assists in the development and evaluation of the annual consolidated budgets.
    • Manages the Company’s cash flow and works with the CFO to make appropriate investments with excess cash.
    • Prepares accurate and timely 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, section 16 and proxy filings.
    • Manages accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
    • Ensures accurate and timely completion of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process.
    • Manages the relationship with the independent auditors.
    • Ensures compliance with various rules and regulations, including GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, Section 404, SEC, and NYSE.
    • Manages financial systems implementations.
    • Manages tax function, including successful completion of tax filings and tax planning, completion of quarterly income tax provision, as well as managing and leveraging external tax advisors.
    • Manages the preparation and implementation of financial processes related to new international markets.
    • Prepares materials and reports for and periodically interacts with the audit committee and board of directors.
    • Provides effective leadership, direction and coaching to direct and indirect reports including, but not limited to, delegating, staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations.


    • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
    • Advanced degree preferred.
    • Certified Public Accountant Professional certification required
    • 15+ years’ progressive accounting experience.
    • 7+ years people management experience.
    • Experience accounting for a manufacturing company preferred.
    • Experience working in a publicly traded company required.
    • Experience accounting for activities in international markets required, Asia experience preferred.
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of financial statements and accounting standards and financial analytics.
    • Experience interacting with external and internal auditors.
    • Personal computer skills including extensive knowledge of Excel, experience with accounting, consolidation and reporting systems.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret operating results and complicated data and prepare concise reports for senior management.
    • Ability to interact with senior management.
    • Ability to identify problems and propose solutions to prevent or correct those problems with minimal management direction.
    • Ability to manage and lead direct reports.
