This Director of Channel Development and Expansion is responsible for identifying, developing and expanding our OPTAVIA Coach population in the United States. In addition, this role is responsible for developing, managing and analyzing programs to achieve said expansion.
The Director of Channel Development and Expansion will take a strategic approach to increasing the number of OPTAVIA Coaches by developing, managing, and analyzing channel-expansion programs, which are always tied to the Coach Success Process and ultimately our strategy.
Identifies channel expansion opportunities and develops tactics in support of our strategy and objectives. .
Develops relationships with OPTAVIA staff and field to create collaborative approaches to increase the overall Coach count
Analyzes and disseminates data dealing with current OPTAVIA Coach trends and projected demographic changes in order to develop, articulate and implement strategies to assist in creating the tools needed to meet the challenges of a changing external environment.
Provides effective leadership, direction and coaching to direct and indirect reports including, but not limited to, delegating, staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations.
Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field.
10 years’ progressive experience in business or channel development.
Disciplined, self-starter who is confident, communicative and reliable.
Strategic with a proven track record for translating strategic into tactical, program designs, plans and successful projects/outputs.
Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with all levels from senior management to administrative employees.
Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects with a keen attention to detail and deadlines.
Commitment to ongoing education and training.
Broad understanding of the direct selling industry.
