  • Overview

    The Print Production Specialist oversees and manages the production of all successful print campaigns for OPTAVIA, including on-site and off-site event signage, printed collateral, in addition to all printed marketing materials for both Field and Client support. This role will oversee all print production aspects while working in partnership with the Creative Manger during the creative process through execution for field marketing collateral, business kit materials, event signage and assorted OPTAVIA print and digital efforts.

    Responsibilities

    • Working closely with the key stake holders, outside vendors and suppliers to ensure all requirements, schedules, and print specifications are met and in place as well as resources secured for all marketing campaigns.
    • Coordinates and prioritizes print production details to ensure tasks are completed accurately on time, within department budgets and to proper print specifications.
    • Manages and tracks OPTAVIA print projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met. Along with reviewing artwork, proofs and attending on-site press inspections as new materials are created. Providing technical details to design staff for bidding and suggesting order quantities to assist with MOQ.
    • Helps to manage internal expectations and adaption to changing timelines. Within the review process and before, by reviewing and approving mock-ups, hard proofs, digital proofs and such to ensure quality levels are met across the printed and digital brand collateral.
    • Establishes good chemistry, productive and respectful team relationships with creative staff, project managers, supply chain, and finance to ensure creative solutions to business challenges are uniquely compelling and OPTAVIA Coach and Client centric.
    • Maintains and monitors standards for the OPTAVIA brand while taking into consideration all available opportunities for specifications such as: paper stock, finishes, varnishes, foil, flexographic printing, digital, web or other offset capabilities.
    • Coordinates print production schedules, print specifications and cost analysis reports for internal budget approval. 
    • Becomes familiar with all vendors and their capabilities. Understands their capabilities in relation to print specifications, while being able to tactfully and effectively communicate complex details and information by phone, in person and via email with all outside vendors.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field.
    • 2-4 years’ experience in creative or production management.
    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and project management software.
    • Experience in off-set, digital, flexographic and web printing preferred.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
    • Willingness to travel as needed. (About 15% of time.)
