Overview

The Channel Finance Manager works closely with Medifast’s direct to consumer business channel and will be required to become deeply knowledgeable in the business channel in order to assist business partners in measuring and forecasting their financial performance.

 

The Channel Finance Manager  plays a key role in the preparation of and reporting of financial results and in the development of key metrics and forecasts for their business channel.  The Channel Finance Manager  analyzes trends to explain financial results, develops opportunities for improved performance and is instrumental in setting up the infrastructure to allow for a far greater understanding of the underlying trends affecting performance.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides timely, relevant and actionable financial results and metrics along with commentary to your business partner and executive management.
  • Develops accurate forecasts based on current business partner plans, including potential risks and opportunities, along with input on remediating the risks, exploiting the opportunities and otherwise optimizing results.
  • Delivers thoughtful, intelligent analysis and related financial considerations to potential business decisions.
  • Facilitate and support client’s objectives within the organization.
  • Develops and implements new and/or improved F,P&A processes and reports aimed at increasing the value F,P&A provides to the organization.
  • Assists in the development and administration of the annual budget process.
  • Assists with corporate F,P&A responsibilities, on an as needed basis.  Responsibilities may include assistance with management presentations, M&A analysis, system implementations and periodic reporting requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years’ of experience with management reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office; Knowledge of Navision a plus.
  • Must have good problem solving and communication skills and a focus on business partnering.
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Must be able to work independently, take initiative and complete tasks to deadline.
  • Must possess the ability to identify and communicate solutions to complex, time-critical or recurring business issues.
