Overview

The Designer/Video Editor is a hands-on position, producing, gathering and compiling content from a variety of outlets and sources including video, internet, social media, as well as traditional sources for publishing on digital media. There is an emphasis on delivering “breaking news” videos in corporate- to- field communications and prioritizing user engagement with our multi-platform content offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the production of video content for corporate to Field communications.
  • Hands-on editing of video content and management of digital delivery process.
  • Edits materials for target audiences integrating engaging and creative text, still images, audio- and video-file components, and links to relevant internet resources into an appealing and thoughtful presentation for Powerpoint and multi-platforms including online, mobile, tablet, and social media.
  • Provides continuous updating, revising and expanding of current content.
  • Collaborates in building daily video and web/mobile content with marketing department.
  • Coordinates, coaches and involves the marketing team in the online processes for digital content production and social outreach on multiple platforms.
  • Provides added content and social media value to reports initially developed by broadcast journalists.
  • Provides digital content leadership in marketing environment with emphasis on content gathering and presentation that prioritizes immediacy, interactivity and integration on all digital and social platforms.
  • Regularly participates in digital content discussions/meetings with emphasis on sharing digital efforts and concerns. Communicates best practices to management to appropriately prioritize execution.
  • Prioritizes the growth and engagement of online users and communities to capture content that emphasizes the “one-to-one” nature of the web. Integrates user generated content as part of “crowd sourcing” to complement our professional content.

Qualifications

 

  • Associates degree in video production, design, or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in the production and editing of video and digital media.
  • Demonstrated proficiency expert in Power Point.
  • Knowledge of design related programs Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to make quick revisions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
