The Email Marketing Specialist will own, manage, and develop best-in-class email marketing capabilities, segmentation, drip campaigns and lead nurturing. This position will be responsible for the email marketing strategy, which will include developing new programs as well as managing the day to day execution, optimization, and analysis across the company. The Email Marketing Specialist is also responsible for creating successful marketing campaigns with a focus on improving engagement and retention, and will continuously iterate and improve campaigns using data analysis and A/B testing.

 

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of email campaigns including but not limited to editing messages, design creation, copy reviews, structuring A/B tests, scheduling deliveries, and reporting on results.
  • Develop and implement robust, auto-respond drip campaigns for both pre-purchase and post-purchase customer journeys.
  • Create weekly and monthly reports detailing email list growth, revenue generated through email, and other relevant data.
  • Leverage Salesforce Cloud Marketing and other database tools to create relevant and valuable email messages.
  • Collaborate with business channels and develop in-depth understanding of customer segments and channel differentiation to support the development of the email marketing strategy for all business channels. Fosters a customer-centric perspective with all projects and team collaboration.
  • Lead and manage the integration of email into existing media platforms such as print, broadcast, social, and digital.
  • Develop and implement processes within marketing, business intelligence and IT to optimize customer list management and targeting efforts across the organization.
  • Use lifecycle marketing tools to create a system of triggered messages based on customer preferences and actions.
  • Proactively manage and troubleshoot email deliverability issues.
  • Collaborate with technology and marketing to support email list growth.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in email marketing.
  • Solid design aesthetic and copywriting skills.
  • Expert knowledge of auto-responder series, list building & segmentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business-user needs and provide technology guidance.
  • Experience with HTML.
  • Proficient in graphic design applications and tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
  • Knowledge of marketing data management and customer segmentation/targeted marketing.
  • Analytical capabilities and ability to use email to solve business problems.
  • Strong business acumen and communications skills.
  • E-commerce/consumer product marketing experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Google Analytics or similar tools to measure and produce common email/ecommerce KPI reports for business presentation.
