The Social Media Coordinator uses social media marketing technologies as a means to engage and build relationships with OPTAVIATM Coaches and Clients.  This role monitors social activity for OPTAVIATM, and works with department and cross-functional teams to ensure collaborative, successful, and efficient social media marketing project execution.  Supports all day-to-day social media activities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external teams to create and continuously update social media content, strategy, guidelines and best practices for OPTAVIATM Coaches and OPTAVIATM corporate social media channels.
  • Manages the social media community across a variety of social media platforms. (Facebook, Facebook Groups, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.)
  • Engages with Coaches and Clients through social media marketing channels to achieve positive interactions with and recommendations for our Fuelings, plans and the Coach opportunity.
  • Manages the implementation of any new functionality or enhancements to social networks and assures consistent brand presence and integrity.
  • Analyzes the performance of social marketing programs by reviewing campaign results, and gathers insights from those results to optimize interactions with consumers.
  • Thinks creatively and strategically in all social media platforms and promotions with an understanding of OPTAVIA'sTM unique community of Coaches and Clients, and how other internal promotions and programs could translate to this audience via social media.
  • Follows the latest social marketing developments, monitors competitive landscape and consumer behaviors in order to understand current and future trends, and makes recommendations on how to improve or expand OPTAVIA'sTM presence on existing or new social media platforms.
  • Manages live social media postings, schedules, and community engagement during all OPTAVIATM events.
  • Ability to generate content utilizing copywriting and design skills, as well as tailor existing creative/communication to fit social mediums as needed. Digitally designs social media graphics, banners, images, and provides email support as needed.
  • Familiarity using social media reporting tools to retrieve relevant metrics and optimize social strategy and familiarity working with a social media agency teams on strategic direction, ideas, and content.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or equivalent combination of professional and academic experience.
  • 2-3 years of social media marketing experience. Planning, testing, launching, monitoring, optimizing and measuring social media campaigns experience preferred
  • Experience conducting social media for brands at conferences and events preferred
  • Technical Skills: Proficient knowledge of leveraging social media technologies such as Oracle, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, blogs, and working knowledge of web analytics software, digital graphic design skills and software knowledge.
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop) experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service. Proven track record with social media customer service interactions preferred
  • Spanish fluency a plus.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, and during the off business hours of social media.
