Overview

The Communications Manager creates and facilitates clear, timely and accurate communication across enabling OPTAVIATM Coaches to operate with all information needed to maximize opportunities to grow our business.

 

The Communications Manager will write and develop strategic communications plans to boost overall organizational communication competencies for internal and external stakeholders. This person will also support the Director, Field Marketing and Communications by managing communications and acting as the lead liaison for inter-channel and inter-department communications.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Writes and develops communications for both external and internal releases. This includes general business communications, social media, emails, Coach Connection posts, Leadership Communication, and crisis communications.
  • Reviews and edits all OPTAVIATMmarketing materials to create a cohesive image and message for print, including but not limited to guides, brochures, booklets, newsletters, kits, event materials, talk tracks, social media and training materials.
  • Assists in the development of new processes from implementing communications plans to meet the needs of a rapidly growing company.
  • Reviews and oversees the execution of all externally facing materials for compliance, grammar, correct brand language/standards and consistent messaging
  • Develops robust internal and external communications plans for corporate initiatives, technology enhancements, and day to day business issues.
  • Manages a master calendar of all marketing objectives by coordinating with business owners and translates this to a forum which can be utilized by internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Oversees and manages team of Communications Specialist, Social Media Specialists, and Copy Writer.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in communications with progressive experience in proofreading and communications, with 2+ years managing a team.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications required, with strong experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite or other design/layout software a plus.
  • Ability to oversee and provide direction and constructive feedback to Creative personnel required.
  • Experience in supporting a brand style/communications style guide and managing rolling changes to brand standards.
  • Experience with program/project management for large initiatives with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience with customer service a plus.
  • Spanish fluency a plus.
  • Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to relationship-building both internally and externally.
  • Must be able to support extremely tight deadlines with many high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to travel 15% of the time.
